Student Residence Permit

How to obtain your residence permit?

Every Chadian student in Algeria is required to regularize their living situation with local authorities (Wilaya or Police Station) within three months of arrival on Algerian territory.

The Required Documents

Passport: Original + photocopy of identity pages and entry visa.
Certificate of Attendance: Original for the current academic year.
Proof of Residence: Accommodation certificate (university city) or notarized lease (private housing).
Medical Certificates: Phthisiology (lungs) and general medicine.
ID Photos: Usually 4-6 recent photos.
Tax Stamp: The amount varies according to the duration (consult Wilaya services).
Scholarship Certificate: For scholarship students.

Procedure Steps

01
Deposit

Submission of the complete file to the foreign office of the Wilaya or the Police Station.

02
Receipt

Handing over of a provisional receipt (valid as a residence permit) while waiting for the card to be manufactured.

03
Withdrawal

Withdrawal of the biometric residence permit after notification or expiration of the receipt.

Important !

Remember to renew your residence permit at least one month before its expiration date to avoid penalties or administrative complications.
